Alessandro Scandurra graduated at Politecnico di Milano with Umberto Riva with whom has long collaborated.
He established SSA-Scandurra Studio Architettura in Milan in 2001.
Working in Italy and abroad he designed the headquarters of different international brands, commercial spaces, hotel and several restorations work in historical buildings. He received nominations and mentions for awards such as Medaglia d’Oro, the Mies Van Der Rohe award and the Compasso d’Oro.
Furthermore he has taken part in several editions of Venice Biennale and in different exhibitions at Milan Triennale.
He contributes in the international debate with conferences and writings;
involved in the growth of the city of Milan, supporting research and studies on the development of the city. He taught at Politecnico di Milano and currently he is a visiting professor at SUPSI in Switzerland. He is the author of the book “Juan Navarro Baldeweg, Umberto Riva, Carlo Scarpa and the origin of things” for Marsilio.
